my mom used to make us a snack with this recipe: on half of a hamburger bun, spread chunky peanut butter, then a layer of sweet pickle relish, then a slice of american cheese. then it goes into the oven on broil till the cheese begins to turn brown. then you take it out and eat it!
it sounds weird, but it's really good! this snack was served during WWII as a protien source since the meat was rationed.
try it, it's really good!
Yep! ...Except my mom used regular bread and lightly toasted it before hitting it with the p-butter. I just made two for lunch just now! And I use toasted whole wheat or pumpernickel bread (the best). BAD NEWS: I didn't have some ice-cold milk for a chaser.

Have you ever tried peanut butter, bread and butter pickles, and mayo?
